FAQ
Common questions about Dewfall, privacy, and paying with Nano.
The basics
What is Dewfall?
A pay-as-you-go collection of AI tools: CalendarCollage turns your calendar into art, MemeMe turns photos into memes, RemoveBG cuts out backgrounds, RepairShop blends rough photo composites together, InfoExtract pulls structured data out of files, and DailyDew writes you a friendly report on whatever you're into. There's no subscription — you only pay for what you make.
What are dew drops?
Dewfall's credit. 1,000 dew drops = $1 USD. Your balance is shown in dew drops, and each creation's cost is shown in dew drops too (rounded up to the next whole drop).
How much does a creation cost?
Each creation costs what the AI model actually charged for it, plus a small Dewfall service fee. Cheaper models cost less; you can choose your model in Settings. Every charge is itemized in your Wallet history.
Am I charged if a generation fails?
No. You're charged once the AI provider actually returns a result — if the request fails before that, nothing is taken from your balance.
Privacy
What's private?
Everything, by default. Your creations, References (people, places, things and their photos), uploaded photos and calendar events are visible only to you. Nothing is shown publicly unless you choose to share it. Dewfall administrators can view content when needed for moderation or support.
What happens when I share a creation?
Sharing from your Gallery adds the image to "Recently shared" on the home page, which anyone can see — along with your display name and which app it was made in. Your email is never shown. You can unshare at any time, and only the most recent handful of shared images are ever public at once; older ones are automatically unshared.
What gets sent to the AI?
Only what's needed for that one request: the prompt (built from your event details, captions and Reference notes) and any photos involved. These go to NanoGPT, the AI provider, to generate the result. See the Privacy Policy for the full details.
Can I remove a person I've added?
Yes. Deleting a Reference permanently deletes its notes and photo. If you add someone else, you're responsible for having their consent — see the Privacy Policy.
Nano & payments
Why Nano?
Nano (XNO) is a cryptocurrency built for payments: transfers have zero fees, settle in under a second, and use a tiny fraction of the energy of most cryptocurrencies. That makes it a great fit for topping up small amounts — none of your deposit is lost to fees. Because Nano deposits skip card-processor fees, we pass the savings on as a deposit bonus.
How do I top up?
Go to your Wallet and click "Add to wallet". You'll get your own personal Nano deposit address (and a QR code). Send XNO from any Nano wallet, then check for your deposit — it's credited at the USD value of the XNO when it arrives.
What's the deposit bonus?
Bigger deposits earn more bonus dew drops: $5+ gets +5%, $10+ gets +7.5%, $25+ gets +10%, $50+ gets +12.5%. The bonus is added automatically.
What if the price of Nano changes after I deposit?
It won't affect you. Your deposit is converted to its USD value when it arrives, so your dew-drop balance stays the same no matter what XNO's price does afterward.
Can I withdraw my balance?
Not currently — dew drops are credit for use within Dewfall, so only deposit what you plan to use.
Can I pay with a card or PayPal?
Not yet — Nano is the only way to top up for now.
Where does my deposited Nano go?
For safekeeping, deposited XNO is periodically moved from individual deposit addresses into Dewfall's treasury. This is purely a security measure — it never changes your dew-drop balance.
Under the hood
What do you use to generate images and text?
NanoGPT, a pay-per-use AI service that gives access to many image and text models from different providers. It also accepts Nano, which is how Dewfall pays for your generations.
What do you use to work with the Nano network?
nano.to, which provides access to the Nano network — checking balances, receiving your deposits, and generating the small proof-of-work each Nano transaction needs.
Why is there a model picker?
Different AI models have different strengths and prices. Dewfall picks a sensible default for each app, but you can switch models in Settings to trade off quality, speed and cost.
